Single Female Seeks Dodgeball Fans...
@ Wednesday, 08. Mar, 2006 - 17:55:54I'm very excited to be posting the first ever message on my blog. A friend suggested that I set this up in the hope of meeting some other people that share my passion...DODGEBALL!
After watching the film Dodgeball (possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen) and then watching it again and again and again, I couldn't wait to join a team and get started. But it turns out hardly anyone in the UK plays.
Now I know I'm not the only person that's been inspired by one of the most hilarious films ever made and I know there are plenty of people out there who are interested in Dodgeball, want to set up a team or just chat about the film. I hope my blog will help Dodgeball fans come together.
In the meantime I'll be keeping you posted about my quest to set up the first all female Dodgeball Tournament.
If you're going to become true dodgeballers, then you've got to learn the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!

Just to let you know there has now been a female dodgeball tournament. It was held in April 2008. There is another one scheduled for 22nd November in Nottingham.
I am on the UK Dodge Ball Association committee. We have benn running dodgeball in our present format since March 2007. By the end of 2008 we will have run 17 tournaments this year around the UK.
